We would like to invite you and your organization to be a part of the prestigious event.

 

The Awards seek to honor and recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated leadership and creativity in improving organizational performance through learning and development. The 1st Gawad Maestro Awards was held on Nov. 21, 2011 at the Grand Ballroom of the Manila Diamond Hotel, and the 2nd Gawad Maestro on May 8, 2013 at the PICC Summit Hall.  On June 2, 2016, the 3rd Gawad Maestro winners were recognized at the Hennan Regency Convention Center, Boracay during the PSTD Annual Convention. On November 19, 2018, the 4th Gawad Maestro winners were recognized at the Marco Polo Hotel, Ortigas Pasig City.  To date, we have awarded around 30 exemplary individuals, including former Secretaries Sonny Coloma, Joey Concepcion, CSC Executive Director Arthur Luis Florentin, Nieves Confesor and Rosalina Fuentes, and organizations such as Globe Telecom, Holcim Philippines, PLDT, SGS, LBC, Wyeth Philippines, Thomson Reuters, St. Luke’s and Civil Service Institute among others.  

 

Gawad Maestro Award winners will receive the following

The recipient of this award is a true visionary who has conceptually and fundamentally championed advancement of the L&D practice.  We aim to recognize an exceptional Learning & Development leader who has been a catalyst of change and influenced a significant and revolutionary shift in the Learning and Development landscape. 

 

40% – Excellence evident from L&D initiatives the individual championed for his organization and for his industry 

30% – Direct impact on the L&D mission of innovation, commitment and excellence seen through the individuals and organizations he had been a part of

30% – Acknowledgment of and recognition as a strategic differentiator that has effectively and positively influenced/ impacted organizations or the industry

Learning & Development Organization of the Year for Private Sector

This award aims to recognize an organization who has achieved business performance excellence by championing their Learning & Development programs as a strategic driver to achieve business results.  They have successfully implemented large-scale Learning & Development program/s and have effectively embedded a strong learning culture in their workplace through the support of their senior leadership team.

 

40% – Proven high investment in training organization-wide 

40% – Positive business results ascribed to L&D initiatives

Learning & Development Organization of the Year for Public Sector

This award aims to recognize an organization who has achieved business performance excellence by championing their Learning & Development programs as a strategic driver to achieve business results.  They have successfully implemented large-scale Learning & Development program/s and have effectively embedded a strong learning culture in their workplace through the support of their senior leadership team.

This award is given to an external provider that has enabled and provided excellent, innovative and impactful Learning & Development programs or learning solutions to various organizations and resulted into successfully addressing pressing capability development gaps for their clients.

40% – Positive results on the client business: Evident performance improvement and business impact

20% – Track record in CSR work through the L&D team 

Learning & Development Program/ Intervention of the Year

This award is given to an organization that has successfully implemented an innovative Learning & Development program by pushing boundaries on ways of engaging learners and has overcome the challenges of the new ways of working in 2020.

Learning & Development Manager of the Year

This award aims to recognize a Learning & Development Manager who has championed / succeeded at building a strong learning culture in their workplace and has made significant strategic/ effective contributions in the growth, development, and success of his team members.

25% – Champions and relentlessly pursues innovation and internal process improvement

Learning & Development Professional of the Year

This award aims to recognize an individual who has showcased outstanding skills and high level of proficiency in Learning & Development as seen in the programs/ interventions implemented to meet the business needs.

30% – Evident optimization of multiple learning methodologies that demonstrates strong inclusion and consideration of different learner styles
