The Philippine Society for Talent Development is doing a soft launch of new website features. Beginning July 15, 2021, members will be able to enjoy reports and updates on Society-related news and events. This includes key leadership decisions, a recap of Tipanan Sessions, and other learning events. The site will also feature useful videos on both fundamental and cutting-edge talent development practices. Some of the media content will be shared for free while others can be accessed by logging in to the site as a member.
As the foremost organization for talent development in the Philippines, PSTD needs to be at the forefront of conversations on anything and everything talent development. PSTD recognized the importance of being able to supply its members with fresh information about the profession, best practices employed by various organizations, insights from thought leaders, and create a space for amplifying the voice of its members. Having a publication will satisfy all these needs. It is also a powerful means to engage members both as writers and readers. With this, PSTD President Jun Roy envisions the Society and its website to be the go-to place for talent development professionals to converge, share best practices, exchange ideas, and enrich their professional practice.
The new website features are powered by the collaborative effort of the Publications Committee members/volunteers headed by Edwin Ebreo. Nelson Dy, Maribel Aglipay, Gege Sugue, and Steffi Manhit took on the roles of editors, while individual writers and contributors will have their names and short bios appear on their work. The team is currently doing all the necessary groundwork to establish processes and sustain the contribution of written works and video content. The goal is to regularly produce and share contents that include news, features, insights, videos, a regular online talk show. We also aim to produce a quarterly magazine for the members. The committee encourages members, and other talent development professionals to contribute by writing or producing content that can be curated and shared via the website.
