Our 2022 President elect Rommel Ancheta opened the session and highlighted the importance of looking ahead to prepare for the uncertainty. PSTD Holds 2nd Talent Development Summit
Gamification – The Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) recently concluded its 2nd Philippine Talent Development Summit last August 31, 2021, with the theme, “Elevating Talent to Thrive in the Shifting Realities.” The Summit’s objectives were to describe the concepts of the PSTD Talent Development Framework, Identify the roadmap and curriculum on how we can shift from L&D to Talent Development in our organizations, and identify the challenges and rewards of implementing a Talent Development Program given our shifting realities.

PSTD Holds Fundamentals of Facilitating Design Sprint for Learning and Development Professionals
Design sprint means combining business strategy, innovation, behavior science, design thinking, and more. This is packed into a four-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers. With this, the professionals will design L&D or other people programs in a structured approach that balances the customer insights and business goals. Customer insights can come from internal employees and company experts.

PSTD Concludes Designing E-learning Course, Batch 4
The Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) recently concluded its Batch 4 masterclass on Designing E-Learning, a ten-hour, blended learning activity conducted last July 5, 9, 12, 15 and 19. The training was attended by over 40 participants coming from the private, academe, and government sectors. As more and more organizations turn to virtual training for its delivery mode today, the course sought to help participants build the confidence and skills in create robust e-Learning programs, using best practices in instructional design. In the course of running these four batches of Designing E-Learning, PSTD established a national standard of excellence in developing e-Learning programs.

PSTD Learning Event Scoop: Mentoring from the Lens of a Leader
This webinar is a follow-through session of the successful PSTD 1st Mentoring Summit in June. Also conducted by the PSTD 2021 Mentoring Chair Committee, Ms. Irene Marie Isleta. Through the various breakout activities, the participants were able to gain a deeper understanding of the concept of mentorship. They also came up with their own mentor program idea that they can implement in their organizations.
PSTD Tipanan Recap: Moving from Competency to Capability
Michelle Rubio, UnionBank’s Chief Human Officer, shared how they were able to create a culture that enabled their employees to take ownership of their own learning journey. She was also able to share how they were able to sustain and improve their performance. The group discussed the various challenges and benefits of shifting an organization’s focus on talent development. The goal of U.B. is to create a future-proof organization that will enable people to work seamlessly and effectively.
