Milestones

1964
Formed by a group of 19 Filipino trainers who saw the importance of developing the evolving field of manpower training.
1965
Registered the society under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
1973
Spearheaded National Manpower Training & Development Week (Presidential Proclamation 1142).

Became a charter member of the International Federation of Training & Development Organizations (IFTDO).

1974
Promulgated a Code of Ethics for Trainers and Standards for Trainers;

Organized the Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO), a network of T & D organizations in Asia and the Pacific.

1979
Promulgated a Code of Ethics for Trainers and Standards for Trainers

Organized the 8th International Conference with ARTDO & IFTDO

1989
Organized the Negros Occidental Chapter
1997
Established tie-up with De La Salle University College of St. Benilde – SPACE for all their trainer development programs.
2005
Held the 38th ARTDO International HRD and Leadership Conference in Manila; set-up Davao Chapter.
2007
Updated Code of Ethics for the Filipino Trainer.
2010
Created competency framework for the Filipino WLP practitioner;

Set-up Northern Mindanao chapter.

2011
First Gawad Maestro Awards;

First National Convention in Davao.

2012
Partnered with PAHRODF for the HR Summit;

Hosted the ARTDO International Convention in Cebu; launched new website.

2013 - 2014
Launched WLP Certification
2015
50 th Anniversary celebration which culminated in biggest tripartite learning event organized by PSTD, PAHRODF and the Civil Service Commission
2016
  • Represents the country in various international for a (ARTDO, IFTDO & ASTD)
  • Awards notable organizations and practitioners in the L & D industry (Gawad
