Gamification – “the application of game-design principles in order to change behavior in non-game situations,” (Robson, et. al., 2015). Gamification uses techniques that get people spending long hours trying to get to the next level of their favorite game. Game elements appear in many different applications and are widely used. Gamifying operations can be applied to customer service representatives to make work more exciting and to increase productivity. In talent development, game design elements can be incorporated into the organization’s knowledge management. Gamification can also be used in the talent selection process as competing developmental activities are played out by the company’s competing talents.

To design a quality course, one must choose the course format, then create instructional strategy and assessment strategies. The Develop Phase involves having the format and the plan of the course. This 10-hour foundational course aims to introduce the concepts and principles of learning and develop the technical competencies of participants, specifically in the areas of needs analysis and assessment, instructional design and delivery, and evaluation of needs-based and learner-centered training interventions.

Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Towards Design

This 10-hour virtual instructor- led Training Needs Analysis (TNA) provides the basic knowledge and conceptual skills to conduct TNA using “performance gap analysis” and “task analysis”. to Result of the TNA study enables the designer to identify the basic objective and content of a training program.

Managing Learning and Development Function

The Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) Foundation, Inc. is a professional organization for practitioners in the field of Training and Development in the Philippines. It is committed to the professional development of its members as well as the development of the profession itself. Assessing Training Effectiveness Based on Needs

This course in conducting training evaluation provides a step by step guide to pursuing training effectiveness measurement and evaluation. PSTD Concludes Designing E-learning Course, Batch 4

The Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) recently concluded its Batch 4 masterclass on Designing E-Learning, a ten-hour, blended learning activity conducted last July 5, 9, 12, 15 and 19. The training was attended by over 40 participants coming from the private, academe, and government sectors. As more and more organizations turn to virtual training for its delivery mode today, the course sought to help participants build the confidence and skills in create robust e-Learning programs, using best practices in instructional design. In the course of running these four batches of Designing E-Learning, PSTD established a national standard of excellence in developing e-Learning programs.

The Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) recently concluded its Batch 4 masterclass on Designing E-Learning, a ten-hour, blended learning activity conducted last July 5, 9, 12, 15 and 19.
