Course Description
Measurement or evaluation usually begins during the conceptualization of a program and needs to be linked to the objectives that have been set. Results of the measures provide data-based information that enables one to establish the value and effectiveness of an activity, as well as establishes standards for accountability. This program covers a discussion of concepts and includes activities that are meant to equip the facilitator with essential skills in measuring, assessing, and evaluating learning and performance as a result of training. These include the design and interpretation of different measurement or evaluation instruments such as checklists, rating scales, and rubrics.

Course Objectives
The module aims to:
- Orient the participants to the nature and value of training measurement and evaluation
- Provide examples of evaluation and assessment measures involved in a training activity
- Introduce basic statistical measures and their interpretation
Specific Objectives: At the end of the two-day program, the participants are expected to:
- Differentiate between and among different measures used in training
- Assess the appropriateness of the different training evaluation formats or approaches
- Design evaluation instruments
